Active Care Physiotherapy Chermside has a skilled team of physiotherapists who have been providing treatments and rehabilitation to the North Brisbane and surrounding area since 1997. The clinic is located in the same building as the Chermside Medical Complex and we have developed great relationships with other local GPs and medical clinics. The clinic is conveniently located on Gympie Road directly across from the shopping centre with onsite parking.

Chermside Physiotherapists

Nathan Russ

Nathan was inspired to become a physiotherapist after seeing the benefit of both manual treatment and exercise prescription, following a number of ankle and hip injuries while participating in a range of sports including soccer, baseball, tennis, volleyball and gymnastics in his formative years. He continues to play soccer, futsal, tennis and when he isn’t at the clinic is usually found in the snow skiing.

He is a Brisbane local, having attended Ipswich Grammar before studying a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Masters of Physiotherapy at Griffith University. With a focus on client care, Nathan has done further study in Dry Needling, Cupping, Pilates, Muscle Energy Technique, pre-employment screenings and has furthered his skills in the assessment and correction of Vertigo (BPPV).

Nicky Anderson

Nicky graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and is a current member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She has a strong passion for promoting healthier lifestyles and restoring pain free movement at any stage of life. Nicky grew up playing a variety of sports, reaching a high level in netball, leading to a passion for musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation. She also has a keen interest in Pilates and Gender Health Physiotherapy. Currently Nicky enjoys spending her time outside of work training for triathlons or getting away to the beach.

Nicholas Campbell

Nick graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991. He established the clinic in 1993 and has furthered his skills in areas of sports medicine, orthopaedics, neck and back treatment and work related injuries. Nick also has an interest in tennis related injuries, physical fitness and conditioning. Nick works at both our Capalaba and Chermside clinics.
